SMS Policy

At the Atlanta Retailers Association (ARA), we value your privacy and make every effort to respect your wishes and personal information. In line with this commitment, we have established the following policy for the use of our SMS communication service. Please read it carefully to understand how we collect, use, and manage your phone number.
Use of Phone Numbers for SMS: Your phone number is exclusively used to provide you with personalized services and status updates based on what you requested from ARA. No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Opting In & Collection of Phone Numbers: ARA will be collecting opt-in verbally and also via our webform from those members who wish to communicate with us by SMS. In order to receive SMS, you must make this request either in person at our physical office location, or over the phone with your ARA staff contact person.
When you have made a request to receive SMS you will be asked to provide the phone number, and staff member will confirm if you would like to opt in to SMS. Please note “Message and data rates may apply”, “Message frequency will vary based on your request”. You can text HELP for support or more information from your contact person. Your phone number will not be shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.
Opting out of SMS: If you wish to stop receiving SMS communications, simply reply to your assigned staff member or any staff person with STOP or UNSUBSCRIBE at any time. Text HELP or INFO if you need assistance. You may also reach out to your assigned staff contact directly by phone if you need further assistance or wish to no longer receive SMS messages. Your phone number will not be shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.
Privacy of Phone Numbers: Once you have opted out, we will not send you any more SMS text messages.
